I have been contemplating getting an e reader. I have done research on the most popular e readers out there (Kindle, Nook and Sony) and I found that each of them have aspects of them that I want, but not one has it all. If the Asus eee reader is all- it says it can do, I want one. It's like all the e readers (Kindle, Nook and Sony) in one. I hope Asus delievers what it promises. I will wait for the Asus because I think it will be worth it for me.

I would love to purchase one but so far there is only speculation that any such animal exists. The last time that I can find that anyone has even mentioned it was back in September and not a word since. I emailed Asus asking if they could give an estimated update on when the release date would be and they didn't give me the courtesy of responding. I searched their web site and there is absolutely no mention anywhere of such a product. Is there actually going to be such a thing or is this just some figment of someone's overactive imagination? I'm begining to think there never was any such animal!

Sounds like a winner to me, especially if it's internet capable and has sound and USB. Most other readers are everything to do with content-control and little to do with flexibility/accessability. This Asus EEEReader will sweep the market, especially if it runs a commonly used OS. I'd have one like a shot at the estimated price. Who would buy an e-book reader for the same price as a computer, when all that the e-book reader does is to allow the user to read books?
