Asus to Release Eee PC 904 and 905, with Larger Keyboards
Posted in: 9inch, asus, eee pc 900, eeepcAsustek is reportedly planning to come up with another variants of the Eee PC 900 and 901 – the Eee PC 904 and 905. The two models will be a hybrid of the 900/901 and the 1000 Eee PCs. Meaning, they will have the 8.9-inch panel but with the chassis and keyboard of the Eee PC 1000.
According to a Digitimes report, the Eee PC 904 and 905 will also have the Atom processors. As for its battery and storage capacity, Asustek is yet to come out with a decision.
Relatedly, Asustek is also planning to release the two new Eee PC models at a similar price range as the 900 and 901, which will lead them to eventually replace the 900/901 or perhaps leave them in the market to compete with the Acer Aspire One.
Are you ready for an Eee PC with a larger keyboards? Frankly, I don’t mind the current keyboards of the Eee PC models. At first it’s hard to use, but eventually you’ll get use to it.

all these new models, i just want my flippen 901 already. i dont have time for new models every 3 days
Asus is straying from the original purpose. Two important points:
- low-cost laptops
- small, portable laptops
Fine, the first point was going to fail eventually. No way they were going to keep costs down if they wanted to make money.
The second point is getting lost. These companies are making larger machines instead of refining the smaller ones.
Maybe if I freeze myself until July 8th, I won’t have to be patient for the possible release of the 901. ;)
The 901 has reasonable value for money, just look at the upgrades..But then again, the MSI Wind, an Eee Pc clone, and I do mean clone spec-wise is at least $150 cheaper then the 901 – now that’s what you call exceptional value, but I’m still getting the 901 regardless.
