Asustek, Acer and BenQ Take 55% of Netbook Market in China
Looks like our friends in China have already chosen their top three netbooks, and these are Asustek’s Eee PC, Acer Aspire One, and BenQ Joybook lite. But that is of course if we are to take the data compiled by each companies are accurate and not self-serving.
According to sales data from each of these companies, their total netbook market share accounted for 55% share of the whole netbook market in China. And of course, ranking these three in terms of market share would give as Asustek with 30% market share, Acer with 16-17% and BenQ with 8.6%. If you would notice all three netbook manufacturers are based in Taiwan. Only the third highest ranking netbook manufacturer which is Lenovo was based in China. Lenovo got 13% of the netbok market share in China.
Following these four netbook manufacturers are Samsung and HP which have also released their own netbooks recently. Hence their low standing in the netbook wars in China.
