For those who couldn’t get hold of the Eee PC 900 (or 901 if even it comes out this year), fear not! For Asustek was said to have fully-booked tons of CPT’s 8.9-inch LCD panel capacity, apparently to boost supply of the Eee PC 900. Digitimes is reporting that Asustek was overwhelmed by the early feedbacks on the sale of its Eee PC 900 that it decided to reserve some more of those LCD panel capacity.

We got to give it to Asustek for looking far ahead and ensuring that it would have a steady supply one of the vital components of the Eee PC 900. Especially now, when many PC vendors and makers will definitely come up with their own brand of 8.9-inch ultraportable PC’s.

Industry players are predicting that CPT and AU Optronics, the other major supplier of LCD panels, would likely to ship about one million 8.9-inch LCD panels by the end of 2008.

Some industry players have also noted that some PC makers are already prepping up their supply of 10-inch LCD panels in anticipation of rising demand in the coming months.
