Digitimes is reporting that Asustek has stopped accepting orders for the Eee PC 900. Barely a month after it has launched, this could be yet the fastest time that a manufacturer simply stops the distribution of a new product. But of course, we all know that the Eee PC 900 is all but a transition product released to compete with the Eee PC’s competitor.

And as well all know, another reason for this is because Asustek is about to launch the Eee PC 901 next week. This is the “real 9-inch version of the Eee PC” if we may say so.

This could explain the reason why there were only few people who manage to snag the black Eee PC 900. Maybe Asustek deliverately released just a few of them, and saving the rest for the release of the Eee PC 901,  in Black design. Wouldn’t an Eee PC 901 donning the black coat with Atom inside be the coolest thing ever?

Now it’s making me think of whether to dispose my Eee PC 701 and replace with a possible black Eee PC 901?

I’ve alwars wanted a Black Eee with Linux.
I think black may work as stealth for certain problematic and criminal zones.

But wouldn’t mind if it was completely transparent ;) with some extra leds on the board’0s circuit showing the status os some test points, or CPU Load/power state, etc ;)
