Asustek will make an independent Eee product line, 11-inch Eee PC coming soon?

Asustek Computer may have been overwhelmed by the success of their Eee PC that they are now thinking of creating an independent brand bearing the Eee tag. The independent Eee product line would carry the previously reported Eee TV, Eee Desktop, Eee Monitor and of course all variations of the Eee PC. These products are expected to be released sometime in the third quarter of this year. Asustek is doing these to possible move their Eee products out of the low-cost product category.

And now for the big news, after releasing the 10 inch Asus Eee PC 1001, Asustek was reported to be planning to release an 11-inch model by the end of this year as well. Hmm, I thought  Asustek is ending the Eee PC up to the 10-inch only?

The 11-inch Eee PC better have more than the features of the 10-inch, and with a price that is not so expensive or else I don’t think it will make it through the ultraportable PC market.
