Australian Tega Tablet To Debut At CeBit Australia
It’s three days till the doors open for CeBit Australia, the Asia Pacific Region’s biggest information and communication technology conference and the guys at Tegatech are gearing up to show off their tablet. Tegatech, formed by tablet computing pioneer Hugo Ortega, has recently been hard at work on their iPad competitor. Early specs are looking good and it will be interesting how it stacks up against the Apple juggernaut. Sporting a 10-inch screen, the Tega’s interface can be accessed by either pen or touch. Connectivity options are rather limited though – it’s only offering a 3G connection option. Weight and design are top-of-the-line; the tablet weighs in at around a kilo and the ergonomic design makes it easy to hold. Powered by an Atom 1.6 GHz processor, it unfortunately has limited battery life, three hours compared to the iPad’s ten. More info will probably be coming in the future.
