Although power-wise, the Lenovo IdeaTab S2 may not have the same prowess as the Transformer but it will be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for its OS nonetheless.

Did Samsung just released the N100 netbook in India and Russia? In case you’ ve missed it, the Samsung N100 netbook was previously announced as a new Samsung netbook running on the Meego OS. Nothing was heard about this netbook after the announcement until now. Reports are saying that this netbook has been showing up on some Indian and Russian online stores.

Interestingly, instead of the N100 markings, the said netbook now bears the mark, Samsung N102. Even more interesting is that the said netbook with 10-inch display is running on Windows 7 Starter Edition instead of of Meego.

Everything else about the Samsung N102 are pretty much what you can find in the Samsung N100. These include – Intel Atom N435 1.33GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 10.1-inch WXGA display (1024×600), 250GB HDD, 3 cell battery, USB 2.0, 4-in-1 card reader, and Intel GMA 3150 graphics card.

Price tag is around $350 for the Samsung N102 netbook.

To be manufactured by Acer and Samsung, the Chromebook is actually the consumer version of what Google has bee testing out for several months now.
Finally! Asus is bringing its much anticipated and very affordable Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet to the U.S. And that’s happening this month. Joanna Stern confirmed the release date of the Eee Pad Transformer citing a reliable ASUS contact. So, if I were, I’ll start finding a way to raise $399 if you have been looking forward to the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. Yes, $399, that’s how affordable this Android tablet is going to be priced. But if you have some more money to spare, you might want to add another $149 to get the keyboard dock accessory especially needed if you will be using the tablet for heavy text composing.

As a reminder, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer boasts of a 16GB storage, Wi-Fi only, 10-inch IPS display with 1280×800 resolution, Tegra 2 processor and two cameras. Incidentally, the $399 price tag of the Eee Pad Transformer makes it the cheapest Android Honeycomb tablet to date. Even more important is the fact that it is $100 cheaper than the 16GB Wi-Fi only version of the iPad.

The Asus Eee Pad Transformer will be available at Best Buy and other US retailers before the end of April. So, better get ready folks!

It’s been a long while since we last heard from Asus as reported by Digitimes, until now. Digitimes is reporting that Asustek is planning to release a new netbook line (not the one pictured here) that will be as dirt cheap as $200-$250. Our question is, what took Asus this long to think about this? Is the company already feeling the impact of the popularity of the tablet devices to the netbooks? It’s probably just about the right time.

Anyway, if indeed it is true that Asustek is planning to release a sub-$200 netbook, what should we expect from a netbook as cheap as that? Interestingly, the preliminary information about this Asustek netbook seems to be lacking in substance. What we know for sure is that said netbooks will either be running Android or Google Chrome OS. This should enable Asustek to bring down the cost of the said netbooks.

So, who’s excited about this new $200 netbook?
