Benchmarking the Acer 532G with NVIDIA ION 2

The folks at Netbooks News managed to benchmark an Acer Aspire One 532G equipped with ION 2 graphics. By running the 3DMark03 benchmark, they found out that the netbook scored a high 3049 mark. Its closest comparison will have to be the Samsung N150 which has the first generation ION graphics and scored 3513.

So what does this mean? It simply means that Samsung N150 loaded with the first generation ION is still faster than the 2nd generation ION graphics. But as Brad pointed out, this could be due to a lot of reasons. And since the NVIDIA Ion 2 is still at an early stage, and considering other factors, it is still too early to tell how the NVIDIA ION 2 will hold up in terms of performance.
