Camangi Webstation Android Tablet, Just In Time For The New Year

camangi webstation

Here I go again with another slate tablet announcement but this time instead of just renders, this is one that will hit the shelves before the year ends. The Camangi Webstation will be on sale via their website which will ship before the end of December.

The device will have a 7″ 800 x 480 resistive touchscreen, Marvell PXA303 624MHz processor, 128MB mobile DDR system memory, 265MB NAND system memory and a complimentary 8GB microSD card. Networking will be handled via 802.11b/g WiFi, USB 3G dongle and a GPS module. There’s a built-in speaker and omni-directional mic plus ports for the headphones, a regular USB port and one mini USB port. There are also three dedicated buttons beside the screen in addition to touch input and accelerometer.

It’ll weight just 0.39kg and is 0.5 inches thin with 4-5 hours worth of Internet and media playback through the 4000mAh built-in battery. It’ll run Google’s Android OS with all the basic apps like Gmail, an eBook reader, music player and others. Camangi also has an App Market for it, all free but it still needs to grow a bit in terms of the selections. More info can be found at their site.

It’s on sale now for $399 though I guess we missed the deadline since you can only get this before New Year’s if you ordered before December 16. And due to short supply, this is only available in the Continental US. If you want, you can still pre-order one here or register for their Android training program to get one. A few more pics below plus a pic from the FCC.
