If this eBay seller is joining the “Dress mEee up” contest organized by Asus Philippines, his carbon fiber-clad Asus Eee PC will certainly receive top honors. The exclusively designed Eee PC is fully covered with carbon fibers giving the Eee PC a sleek zigzag look. The carbon fibers covers the Eee PC from the top lid and around the mousepad and keyboard.
The carbon fibred Eee PC is shipping anywhere in the world from Taiwan where the eBay seller is located. The Eee PC comes with:
- Windows XP SP2 OEM,
- Microsoft Office 2003 OEM,
- 2GB RAM,
- 8 GB SSD and a
- Mini Logitech USB mouse.
The eBay seller puts a high price tag though at around $685 plus shipping. But hey, if you have the money and you want to stand out from your Eee PC-using buddies, that’s a good price to pay.

I think that this is one of those laptop that a lot of people are been dreaming of. I wonder how much would it cost in the offline world. Better yet, is this available offline? I wish I could have a computer like this one so that I could work whenever and anywhere I want.
I guess that I will have to put a portion of my savings on this computer. One day I know that I can have one of this.
Carbon fiber covered laptop, that’s cool. All these time I thought Asus only had leather and Plastic covers for its notebook computers. I’m sure it was installed with a lot of insulators. I wonder if its lighter than the other models.
