When it was released, the Kindle Fire, which was a 7-inch device priced at $200 and targeted at consumers looking for budget slates, enjoyed massive success.

Now, the new tablet is expected to have a larger screen measuring 8.9 inches diagonally. Unfortunately, the retail giant seems to prefer to keep its specifications in secret, so interested consumers still have no idea what to look forward to with the next Kindle Fire.

In contrast with the original Kindle Fire which went on sale in November, however, this next-generation tablet is expected to debut ahead of the holiday season, which is often a very lucrative time for gadget sellers.

Alongside the new Kindle Fire, Amazon will also likely release a new Kindle e-Reader with improved specifications. The upcoming Kindle e-Reader is rumored to have a front light that would facilitate reading in dark conditions. Higher-priced models of this e-Reader will also likely have Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity capabilities.

The new Kindle e-Reader will possibly be released ahead of the Kindle Fire, the expected time being sometime during July this year.

Not content with releasing just one Android-powered tablet (which came out last year), AOC is now preparing to launch something new with the latest version of the Android software pre-installed, as evidenced by documents obtained from the FCC’s web site.

Pictured above is AOC’s next-generation Breeze tablet, which is going to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich when it becomes available in the market (model number MW9022). Its specs include a 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, 1GB of RAM, up to 16GB of onboard storage, and a built-in microSD card slot.

As mentioned earlier, it will sport a 9-inch screen and its native resolution is reportedly 1280×800. It’s certainly no Retina or SuperAMOLED unit, but from the looks of it, this new tablet from AOC should not take away that much weight from your wallet.

The FCC’s web site also reveals other details including its 7-hour battery life with Web surfing via Wi-Fi. Pretty much the only thing that hasn’t been revealed is when and for how much this thing is going to be sold exactly. We’ll just have to wait on that information for now.

Many eyebrows are heightened with the idea of the new Coby Kyros MID9742 being sold at the United States even before it passed through FCC.

Being sold for at least $240, the 9.7 inches, 1024 x 768 pixeleled tablet just had its “go” signal this week.

Although streaming with specifications like a 1 GHz All winner, A10 processor and 8 GB of storage, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, and support for 1080p HD video playback, the newest Coby tablet had pictures of having so much free space inside. This exposure from FCC led consumers the thought of wishing for a larger battery.

It would also look like MID9742 had hardware similarities with the 7-inch Coby MID7042, its smaller counterpart. Furthermore, it showed upgrades which includes a higher resolution screen, a battery that has 19 watt hour, and twice as much storage. It also features an HDMI port for connecting to an external display for video streaming.

The tablet has a powerful and flexible Internet and Entertainment solution with a generous 9.7-inch capacitive touch screen and intuitive Android 4.0 OS. After passing FCC standards, Coby Kyros MID9742 is expected to be more in demand in the days to come.

A couple weeks ago when a new Lenovo tablet was seen at FCC, though there were no specific details had revealed that time, it was even nameless as well. However today, an official video is out on Youtube showcasing the new tablet unveiled by Lenovo. The promotional video is quite short but it’s enough to entice the consumers on what this slate has to offer.

The official description stated that the newest Lenovo tablet comes with unibody shell and a gunmetal finish. The 9.7-inch S2109 tablet comes very light and only 8.9 mm in thinness.

It was mentioned that there’s a 1.3 MP front-facing camera but not to mention any rear. The slate promises ultimate mobile entertainment experience because it is equipped with SRS Trumedia support, quad speakers with 10-hour battery life. It runs on Android 4.0 ICS and has added micro-HDMI and micro-USB.

Lenovo also noted that the IdeaTab S2109 will have Google Play, as well as the Lenovo App Shop. No specific date yet regarding its release but after it has been out at FCC, count a few more months and it will then be available soon in the market.

Aoson is a Shenzhen-based company that produces promising tablets. It’s just recently when it launched the 9.7-inch Aoson M19 tablet on 1024 x 768p resolution running on Android 2.3 OS.

One of the slate’s major features is the RockChips RK2918 and plus a 1.2 GHz of DDR3 ROM. Users could have enough space to store music, videos, games and other files with its 16 GB of internal storage. However, if you want to pump up the memory capacity, there is this built-in TF slot that can accommodate up to 32 GB.

The model also has two cameras – a 0.3MP on front and a 2MP at rear. Users will also be delighted to know that there’s HDMI output, plus you can connect easily both through Wi-Fi and 3G. It runs on a 7900 mAh battery.

It is also conveniently handy having a light weight of 1.14-lb and the ultra slim feature with dimensions 9.41 x 7.24 x 0.37-inch. Its body is made of aluminum magnesium alloy so it looks really sleek.

Users may as well find unlocking the device by not doing the usual slide. Instead, this model uses the “360° circle unlock” style; so it’s a bit of a plus for consumers to be taken this one into buying consideration.
