Before you start blaming Asus’ desicion to redesign its Eee Keyboard recently as the culprit why its release is delayed again, stop. According to Digitimes, that is not the reason why the Eee Keyboard won’t be reaching the market in time for the holiday season but will have to wait until 2010.

The reason? Well, the original version of the Eee Keyboard didn’t make it through some wireless testing regulation.

The good news is – once it comes out in 2010, perhaps during CES 2010 we might be looking at a better Eee Keyboard. That’s the bottom line of it all. What’s the point of rushing a gadget when you know that it will just conk out on users easily?

So, let’s all start looking forward to 2010 then.

If you often bring your netbook in a cafe or in any public area with Wi-Fi hotspots, you may not be aware that people nearby may actually be staring at your screen. I’ve experienced this often especially when I work inside a Starbucks Store.

To prevent other people see what you’re working on, you might want to consider getting the 3M Gold Privacy Filter. This 10.1-inch film is perfect for all 10-inch netbooks and offers ample protection that prevents other people especially those looking from your side angle, from seeing what’s on your screen.

Aside from this, the 3M Privacy Filter film also gives your netbook screen additional clarity. It’s actually a two-product in one – a privacy filter and screen clarity enhancer.

This privacy filter film is available in the U.S. via Amazon for $30+

Over at GadgetMix, one writer has reviewed a netbook car mount. The mount supports netbooks from 7 inches to 13, so will fit most netbooks even with an extended battery. It comes with a gooseneck bracket which can be adjusted. It features a strong suction cup which, was also put to the test. The reviewer used both an Asus Eee PC 701 and the Asus Eee PC 1000H which is “one of the heaviest netbooks ever made” on the mount with no problems. Perfect for those who want to use GPS on the netbook in the car.

It’s available from Ultimate-Netbook for £24.99. Using the code WEBMIX will get you a 10% discount. If you do grab the mount yourself, remember to use it safely.
