Reports from Canalys analyst Natalie Spitz say that Asus leads the netbook manufacturers pact in terms of market share in Europe. Acer has a commanding 32.4% market share followed by Asus with 19.6%. Area coverage include – Europe, Middle East and EMEA countries. Acer’s netbook shipment to Europe is growing at 4.2% from Q3 2008 to Q3 2009.

Isn’t it interesting that Asus who was supposed to have carved the netbook market niche is now playing second fiddle to Acer who was rather a little late in entering the market? What does it say? Does it mean that Acer netbooks are better than the Eee PCs? Or cheaper perhaps?

Other stats from other netbook companies include – Samsung with 12%, HP with 11.6%, Toshiba with 4.2% and Dell with only 3.5%.

The report also said that there were around 3.7m netbooks shipped in the EMEA regional along for Q3. This is 68.9% more than what was ship a year ago. This only goes to show that netbooks are still getting their share of the PC market industry.

The Eee Box EB1501 also features Windows 7 Home Premium, a remote control and two keyboards / wireless mouse. It’s will start hitting store shelves in Italy anytime now. No words yet on its U.S. release.

So, have you pre-ordered your Eee PC T91MT at Amazon? Whether you did or not, you might want to check out this short demo of the Eee PC T91MT’s multi-touch functionality. As you can see from the video, that multi-touch feature is definitely a winner. Nothing can be cooler than the ability to control the different apps loaded in the Eee PT T91MT using one or two fingers.

I’m drooling right now, and hoping that this table netbook will be made available in the country where I am at a very affordable price. But I’m not counting on it, given the taxes that our government will imposed once it reached our soil.

Anyway, enjoy the video and if you haven’t ordered your Eee PC T91MT yet, this might help you decide.

It’s actually a pretty basic looking netbook made by a Chinese company called Colorful. It has a 1024×600 10-inch display, 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 160GB hard drive and up to 2GB of RAM. It also boasts a built-in accelerometer–yes, the same one that helped make Apple’s iPod touch and iPhone famous–that enables auto-rotation of the display when the netbook is held in portrait mode and automatic shutdown when the netbook is detected to be in freefall. Pretty nifty, right? Right. It’s probably going to be a bit hard to get one of these outside of China, though.

Before you start blaming Asus’ desicion to redesign its Eee Keyboard recently as the culprit why its release is delayed again, stop. According to Digitimes, that is not the reason why the Eee Keyboard won’t be reaching the market in time for the holiday season but will have to wait until 2010.

The reason? Well, the original version of the Eee Keyboard didn’t make it through some wireless testing regulation.

The good news is – once it comes out in 2010, perhaps during CES 2010 we might be looking at a better Eee Keyboard. That’s the bottom line of it all. What’s the point of rushing a gadget when you know that it will just conk out on users easily?

So, let’s all start looking forward to 2010 then.

Just when does Asus actually plans to release its innovative Eee Keyboard. It was supposed to come out last month right? or this month? But anyway, it looks like the Eee Keyboard’s market debut is delayed anew as Asus has just redesigned it a bit.

Register Hardware was able to get a hands-on the redesigned keyboard and guess what? What use to be a resistive 5-inch touchscreen display is now replaced with a capacitive panel. This is similar to what the iPhone and other touch-screen handsets apparently use and which Asus’ product design head Ken Wang said has a better touch responsiveness.

In addition, the Eee Keyboard now also supports gesture control similar to the recently released Apple Magic Mouse. It can launch a web browser just by swiping to fingers on its screen. Sleek!

Asus also plans to release both non-metallic and metallic versions of the Eee Keyboard. When? That remains to be answered.

We all know what it means when an upcoming product starts showing up on it’s mother company’s global site, right? It means that product is now being prepared for international launch. Well, that seems to be the case for the new Eee PC 1001HA which we covered recently.

The Eee PC 1001HA is now appearing on the Asus global site. This new member of the Eee PC Seashell family looks like a toned down version of the Eee PC 1005HA. It’s features and specs speak well of what this new netbook can bring when it comes out.
