LG has done turning 3D technology more readily available in its latest A540 notebook. The A540 is one of those computers that has everything needed to make people reconsider their view that a laptop should be as thin and light as possible.

Measuring 15.6 inches, the A540 has a Full HD (1920×1080) glasses-free 3D display, with an IPS panel to boot. This means that viewing angles on this machine aren’t half bad (178 degrees horizontal/vertical, or thereabouts).

Inside this notebook greets an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 central processing unit, which can be paired by up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM. More importantly, this mobile PC features a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX 555 GPU.

Additional specs include a 1TB HDD, Bluetooth 3.0, 4.1-channel audio, USB 2.0 and 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. All are in total of 2.6 kilograms (5.73 pounds) and relies on a head-tracking camera, which is placed just above the screen.

While the CPU’s built-in GMA HD is enough to work for web browsing and other basic things, it can’t pull its weight very well in high-resolution 3D video as well as to games. Provided, the LG A540 is sure to impress gamers when it finally starts shipping in the second quarter of 2012. Unfortunately, no price tag has been attached to it as of now.

LG just made its comeback on the tablet competition in an unusual post-CES launch with the Optimus Pad LTE. A direct sequel to its original predecessor, it keeps the 8.9-inch, 1280×768 IPS screen and now uses 4G connectivity for Internet access. While LG moved from the dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 to a similarly dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon, it offers extra speed to the machine.

The Korean company has stopped on pushing its 3D capabilities and just depended on a single eight-megapixel camera on the back. A front two-megapixel camera is still there as well as support for HDMI video out. Android 3.2 ships from the start and lets it use a microSDHC card slot. A slight battery upgrade from 6,400mAh to 6,800mAh may help offset the extra battery drain from the LTE link.

Details are short on when the Optimus Pad LTE will ship. However, LG plans to offer its home country first before rolling the product elsewhere. In North America, the first Optimus Pad came to Rogers in Canada and T-Mobile in the US as the G-Slate.

LG’s taking its first two ultrabooks to CES this year, and it’s going absolutely with its main plan. The previously-announced 13.3-inch Xnote Z330 and the 14-inch Z430 will be “Super Ultrabooks” as they launch in the first quarter of 2012. Prices were not mentioned, yet the ultrabooks sound usually alike, with up-to-Core i7 Intel processors, integrated Intel graphics, 1366 x 768 resolution screens, a small array of ports and either an internal SSD or 500GB hard drive with optional SSD caching.

However, both are outsandingly thin machines at 14.7mm and 19.9mm respectively, weigh 2.67 and 3.3 pounds and are relatively small compared to their screens due to their ultra-slim bezels. LG’s fit the 13.3-inch screen into a 12-inch laptop footprint, while the 14-inch screen into a 13-incher’s chassis.

LG will also be bringing the P535 as well as the A540 laptops to CES, with 15.6-inch 3D screens, with the latter equipped with an 1080p film-pattern retarder polarized display, a 1080p IPS screen for wide viewing angles, or even a glasses-free screen.

Hence, LG as well joined the trend and has decided to get an edge against its rivals through creating “The World’s Thinnest Ultrabook Yet”- the LG Xnote Z330.

It’s just few days ago when the Korean company LG has finally unveiled its first ultrabook ever. Along with this, there are shared up to date reports about the future availability of Xnote Z330 in Europe in January or February at a price of €999.To give you some product overview, let me share you some important specs of LG Xnote Z330. This new 14.7mm-thin laptop has a 13.3-inch LED back-light display with 1366 x 768-pixel resolution run by Windows7 Home Premiun-64 bit. As well as the processor integrated can be either in these two Intel versions: Core i7 2637M 1.7GHz or Core i5 2467m 1.6GHz.

With ultra-slim design almost similar as the Apple’s MacBook Air, consumers might give in to the pleasurable offer of this latest Xnote Z330 by LG.

Last January, LG has vaguely announced a new member of its LG G-Slate. There was no follow-up since then not until photos of the Optimus Pad leaked. Though the tablet’s image shown is covered by a sort of plastic wrapper, the 4G LTE logo is clearly seen.

The rumored 8.9-inch tablet is said to run by Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS and seems to be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It is also reported as to be powered by 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor (MDM9600 + MSM8660) and might come with a 1280 x 800-pixel resolution NOVA display. The internal memory comprises of 16GB and expandable through a microSD card. Just like with other usual tablet slates, the rumored Optimus Pad is also be equipped with a 1.3MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear cam with LED flash digitally capable for 3D video recordings.

Apparently, most reports are suggesting the new tab to launch before the year ends. Let’s just hope that LG will soon release official details about the Optimus Pad 4G LTE.

LG is persistent with its sleek bezel design on their ultrabook reference with their LG Shuriken Eighteen. This reference design from LG boasts next-gen Ivybridge processors, expected early 2012. This LG product has 2 USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI out, mini display port, 2GB of RAM but the storage is not yet known.

The design is awful as the finish is glossy and a fingerprint magnet. Also the white keyboard on a black body is hideously unattractive. LG creates for several manufacturers so the design must not carry over except for the thin bezel. The trackpad is small. This is easily remedied because the mouse buttons are physically separated.
