ECS G10IL

PC World is reporting that ECS has already sealed a deal with some European wireless service providers for the distribution of its netbook - the G10IL sometime in September or October.

Like we told you before, the G10IL aside from featuring some robust features and specifications will also come with 3G (third-generation) module on board for wireless Internet wireless over mobile phone networks, aside from its WI-FI feature.

Aside from this, the ECS G10IL will also come with Intel Atom processor, Windows XP or Linux OS, three USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, and 56k modem, WLAN, Bluetooth, a 4-in-1 card reader and 1.3MP Integrated Web Cam.

The ECS G10IL will most likely seel for around $500.

While information and speculation has been circulating the Internet about the G10IL, ECS has finally offered some official details on the subnotebook.

The machine was introduced first at CeBIT, and was named the GSMA winner for it’s Mobile Broadband Notebook competition. The official details state the machine will be:

- 11″ LCD screen

-  Built-in Tri-Band HSDPA and HSUPA (ie, super 3G technology)

-   Three USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, and 56k modem, WLAN, Bluetooth, and a 4-in-1 card reader.

-  1.3MP Integrated Web Cam

ECS says they are also planning on releasing  10.2″ and 8.9″ versions of the machines.

There is rumours that ECS will release a good challanger for Asus EEE PC. This sub 500$ notebook will have the same formfactor as EEE but will have a 7.2 Mbit/s HSPDA datacard built in!!
