It has been a recent update that the Surface Pro is on it way to make the device available to addition markets, a news has been released saying that a new variant has arrived in Japan. Previously, Microsoft unveiled a region-specific Surface Pro in China that is complete with a full copy of Office 2013.

In Japan, this same package is being offered – specifically: a 256GB model, with Windows 8 Pro and Office 2013. This said variant is expected to be readily available by the 7th of June. Notably, this is the first instance that Microsoft augmented the storage capacity of the Surface Pro from 64GB and 128GB.

For some Japanese customers, an exclusive touch cover could be given as an additional treat. Earlier this year, there are quite a number of new designs released. However, a contest is being held by Microsoft to give away 100 Touch Covers with designs by brands like Beams, and Rodeo Crowns. If this limited edition designs for give aways will be available for purchase, that needs to be clarified still, but as of the moment, only Japan has the privilege.

As of this time, there are no signals pointing to the fact that the 64GB model will be available in Japan, but we could wait and see.
