When Sony announced the VAIO T13 and it’s smaller sibling the T11 the press release and information from Sony indicated that both models would ship with an Intel Core i3-2367M processor which is good but, last gen. However over on Sony’s German site, the specifications sheet lists the T13 ultrabook to come with one of Intel’s latest chips on board. The Intel Core i5-3317U, aka Ivy Bridge is currently found in Samsung’s Series 9.

It’s unknown whether the i5 processor will replace the i3 or, if it will be a different or customizable model.

As well as the Sony VAIO T13 ultrabook, Sony will also be releasing a smaller version of their T series ultrabook. The T13, as the model number suggests, comes with a 13 inch display, 13.3 inchs to be exact, while the T11 comes with an 11.6 inch screen.

Both the T11 and T13 feature the same specifications, or hardware choices. The only difference between the two models does appear to come down to screen size along, which should also give them different price points. Both Sony ultrabooks should be available in the UK from early June.

To recap, the T series ultrabooks feature 4GB RAM, Intel i3-2367M CPU, 32GB SSD and a 320GB hard drive, HDMI and VGA ports, USB 2.0 and 3.0, along with Bluetooth 4.0, an ethernet port and Wi-Fi.

They may not be the thinnest or most powerful machines Sony’s ever introduced, but the new trio hopes to catch a few hearts here and there. Sony‘s notebook division today announced the availability of VAIO E Series 14P laptop.

A follow-up to those flashy VAIOs we saw a while back, these E Series models are each packing a 14-inch, 1366 x 768 pixel resolution display, an Intel Core i3 2550M CPU with 4 GB of RAM and your choice of AMD Radeon HD 7670M or Intel HD Graphics 3000. All while promising up to seven hours of battery life.

Run-of-the-mill specs aside, Sony’s Gesture Control feature will allow you to swipe between pages and adjust bits like music playback, though, at the moment it only works with Windows Media Player, IE9, PowerPoint and PowerDVD.

The keyboard is backlit and an ambient sensor turns it on in low-light environments. The multi-gesture trackpad is generously sized and offers button-free control of the mouse cursor. You can zoom photos, navigate through pages and scroll or pivoted movements.

The company’s yet to reveal the 14P’s price tag, but in the meantime you can decide which color best suits you.

Hence, its manufacturing partners aimed to strike the opportunity equipping this Intel software mostly on their newly-designed laptops.

One good example is Sony. This company has been reported to come up with another notebook model for VAIO family expansion. In fact, last week, this rumored laptop, has made an appearance in the FCC database.

But then recently, more viable evidences are spotted. The soon-to-launch VAIO C series’ images leaked primarily in the NotebookReview.com forums. There aren’t indications yet, as to what will be the exact model number of this chromebook but the source can pretty tell that it will have a 15-inch panel display running on Ivy Bridge processor.

It comes in exciting colors as well, including pink, teal trim, black and silver trim too. Also, as for the basic case feature of Sony’s VAIO, the laptop’s top lid will have an embossed silver VAIO logo.

The current VAIO C cost starts at around &750, and so consumers would expect that this future to be released-chromebook will quite fall into that similar price line.

Photos and a user manual of the Sony VAIO VCC111 Series have just turned up at the official website of the Federal Communications Commission this week.

This device confirms that there is still support for the Chromebook, or laptops running on Google’s Chrome Operating System. In fact, the user manual explicitly states that users must “Turn on their computer to start Chrome OS.” Furthermore, the keyboard for the device does not have the Windows key, which is present in Windows-powered devices, between Ctrl and Alt.

As per the photos, the left side of the device sports the microphone jack, audio jack, HDMI port, and power jack. Meanwhile, the right side has the SD card reader, and two USB 2.0 ports. The back view shows no internal/external ports; only a chrome finish.

The front view shows a green light which indicates whether the device is turned on or off. The bottom shows the removable battery as well as Chrome recovery option which involves something like a reset outlet on a Wi-Fi. This device measures approximately 21 cm or 8.27 inches in depth.

Sony hasn’t revealed its internal specifications, although this notebook is expected to have the NVIDIA Tegra 1.2GHz ARM processor, an 11.6-inch screen, 2 GB of RAM, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth, and a 16 GB SSD too.

Its price will be around $299 to $400.
