Chinese Netbook Makers to Shift to Ultra-Thin Notebooks
Are we seeing the decline of netbook’s popularity. Well for some China-based white-box netbook makers, the slowdown in the netbook market may be the right time to divert their production effort. According to a Digitimes report, these netbook makers are starting to shift to the “ultra-thin” notebooks in favor of netbook manufacturing.
Hansee Computer and Wanlida Group, both popular Chinese netbook makers will soon be competing with Acer’s 11.6-inch Timeline in the ultra-thin notebook market. In fact Acer had to reduce the market price of its Timeline notebook to be more competitive in the market. It is now currently price at around $629. The Chinese netbook makers are planning to release their ultra-thin notebooks sometime in the fourth quarter at a price that would definitely tempt us all to buy them.
Now, give us some specifics, folks.
