Dell Inspiron Mini 10 now sells with Broadcom Crystal HD, hi-def high fives all around

You know one of the  greatest weaknesses of netbooks? They can’t play HD video. Sure you can can do some mods, convert your videos or even just buy a CULV but most netbooks don’t play well with high-def.

Dell wants to change that and their new Dell Inspiron Mini 10 now sells with an option to get a Broadcom Crystal HD video accelerator. This will let you just grab essentially any video you want, including 1080p HD, and play it back from the comfort of your lap. Install the new Flash Player 10.1 on this and you also get 1080p Flash videos from YouTube, Hulu and other sites.

Just select the “Performance Plus” package when buying from Dell’s online store and you get all that HD goodness in your netbook. It will bump the price of course, up to US$409 but don’t fret you also get a 6-cell battery and 250GB disk space to enjoy your movies all the more.
