Dell has officially unveiled its Inspiron Mini 12 to the US market.  The Inspiron Mini 12 is probably Dell’s best take on the recently announced EEe PC S101. Both sport the same 12-inch screen and both looks sleeker than their smaller counterparts.

The Inspiron Mini 12 will be available in two versions:

One which is priced $549 features a 1.33GHZ Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, 40GB of HDD and Windows Vista Home Basic. The other model is a faster Inspiron Mini 12 because of its 1.6GHZ CPU plus a 60GB HDD and a six-cell battery.  If you want to push its specs further, another Inspirong Mini 12 model with an 80GB HDD capacity will also be available.
