Dell Mini 10 with Linux Up for Grabs in Japan

The folks at Netbooked.net spotted a new version of the Dell Mini 10 netbook in the Dell Japan website. This is the Pine Trail version of  Dell’s previously released Mini 10 netbook. What’s interesting about this netbook is that it is running Ubuntu Linux for its OS instead of the usual Windows 7  Starter Kit.

The product listing is also indicating that the said Dell Mini 10 netbook will be loaded with Ubuntu 9.10, Moblin 2.1. This puts a mystery as to what this really means.

Aside from its OS, everything else about this Japanese Dell Mini 10 netbook are practically the same as the U.S. version. It’s specs include – Intel Atom N450 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 10.1-inch screen with 1024×600 resolution, 160GB of HDD, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Wi-Fi and 3-cell battery.
