Dell UK Outs the Ubuntu-Powered Mini Netbook

Ubuntu fans in the UK have a new reason for buying the Dell Mini 9 netbook. Dell UK has just outed a Linux version of the said netbook running on Ubuntu 8.04. with a price tag of around $472. Of course there is also a Windows XP version which is priced a bit higher at around $524.

Of course, both versions of the Dell Mini 9 netbook comes with the following standard features:

  • 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 8.9-inch 1024×600 display
  • 0.3 MP we camera
  • 8GB SSD for the Linux version
  • 16GB SSD for the Windows XP version
  • Bluetooth
  • Wi-Fi
  • various standard ports
