Dell’s still to be named mini laptop that we mentioned a couple of days ago may be up for release sometime in August. This was confirmed by Alex Gruzen, senior vice president for Dell’s Consumer Product Group.

Gruzen also explains the reason why Dell might be getting into late into the mini-laptop market as competitors like Acer and MSI each have already launched their mini-laptop models. He said that Dell is still working on the right keyboard to use for their mini-laptop which is unique to Dell.

Other hardware specs of the said Dell mini-machines remained undisclosed still. But it would definitely feature an Atom processor, unless Dell don’t want to give the competition a good battle.

  2. If it comes with Windows…..I’ll pass. Have owned my eee for 2 months and couldn’t stand to be without it. I DESPISE Dell customer service as well. I cannot understand a word they say! I have purchased 2 Dell’s from Dell.com. Hard Drive on my B130 went out…yeah you guess it….2 months after warranty. I managed to do a fix and canceled the order and much to my dismay they sent it anyways. Dell=bad news!
