Asus are planning to release a new Desktop version of the EEE next year

 

 

The latest news from Asus tells us that the company is planning to release a stationary PC of the Eee.  You will not receive a monitor when you but the stationary version, this is still all we know about the specs for this project.

 

Asus delivers around 5800 copies their Eee each week, and the total delivery count on world basis has now reached 100 000. In December Asus plan to release Eee with Windows XP and they expect to sell more then 300 000 before 2008.

 

Still Asus got very few components for the Eee, and sources in the market reports that Eee will not have a chance to go anywhere near 300 000 copies before 2008.

 

In April next year Asus expects to release the second generation of the portable Eee
