Dual-Core Atom N550 Tested, Compared with Atom N450
Our friends over at NoteItalia did a benchmarking comparison of netbooks running the dual-core Atom N550 and its older brother the Atom N450. The tool they use to run the benchmarking test was called 7zip which is commonly used to measure the speed of the CPUs in multi-threading.
They found out that the Intel Atom N550 performs better than the Intel Atom N450 despite the fact that it’s frequency is lower than that of the Atom N450 – 1.5 GHz vs 1.66GHz.
In case you’re interested to know, the Intel Atom N550 will be used by Asus for its upcoming Eee PC 1215N netbook.
