Dual core ThinkPad X100e now available to Swedes

Being way up north sure has its perks. Lenovo already rolled out the dual-core version of the ThinkPad X100e to the Swedish public through online retailer Dustinhome.se. It swapped the AMD Neo chip with an AMD Turion X2 and packs 2GB RAM and 320GB hard drive space as well. To top it off, a built-in 3.5G modem is included in the package.

Other great features include a Windows 7 Professional OS and ATI Radeon graphics. Being first doesn’t come cheap though, it’s selling for 7,494 kr or US$1032 to you folks in the States.

Is this the price it will be when released here in the US? I could do with all the same specs of the current single core model with just a dual core option. Modem,2 gigs of ram, and more hard drive space should be options not requirements.
