You got to give credit to the fact that Asustek is a Taiwanese company, so it is but natural that the Taiwan market gets to have the first taste of the recently announced Eee PC 1000h. Fudzilla spotted PC Home a local retail store in Taiwan accepting orders for the Eee PC 1000h as early as now.
The PC Home Eee PC 1000h features the same specs that were announced recently by Asustek during the Computex. These include:
- 1.6GHZ Atom N270 processor
- 1GB RAM
- 10-inch display (1024×600)
- 3 USB ports
- Ethernet 10/100Mbit
- WIFI, Bluetooth
- SD Card Reader
- 1.3 mp webcam
- Windows XP
And of course it also has the 80GB Hard Drive. Plus it uses the 6,600mAH battery which was reported to last for 3.6 long hours of use.
As for the pricing, the Eee PC 1000h is selling in Taiwan for whooping $625! You can just imagine how much it would retail in the international market.

foyleman:
“The Eee 900 Series was officially launched in Hong-Kong on April 16, 2008 for 513 USD[19] and in the UK on May 1, 2008 for £329 (approximately €410, $650 including VAT). The system was launched in the US for $549 on May 12, 2008.”
I’m guessing by the end of the month, especially if they want to reach the 5 million mark.
