Time for some weekend bestselling netbook posts here at Eee PC Blog. And look which netbook is topping the Amazon charts – the Eee PC 1000HE of course, with its blue and black color variants. And that is despite the fact that both Eee PC’s are being sold for $387, slightly higher than the third and fourth bestselling netbooks this week which happens to be the Acer Aspire One AOD150. The AOD150’s blue, red and black models are selling for a slightly higher price of  $349.

At the number 3 getting into the way of the Acer Aspire One Black is Samsung NC10 at number 5. While the rest of the bestselling netbooks include the 9-inch versions of both the Eee PC and Acer Aspire One. Also making it to the top is HP Mini 1137NR, and MSI’s U100 Wind netbooks.

Interestingly, despite being released just recently, Samsung’s N120 netbook managed to get into the top of the charts. The Samsung N120 boasts of 1.6 GHz N270 CPU, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, Windows XP, 10.1-inch LCD. The key here of course is the N120’s 6-cell battery pack which promises around 7.5 hours of battery life. The Samsung N120 retails for $460.

We’ll see for how long the Eee PC 1000HE will hold on to its number one position.  With the rave that it is getting right now, I don’t think the 1000HE will be dislodged by any other netbook brands for quite some time.  If you read our review of the Eee PC 1000HE, we told you that it could be Asus’ best Eee PC so far. And that’s because of 3 things – long battery life, good performance and affordability. You really couldn’t ask for more.
