Eee PC 1001PQ sports unusual and unique lid chassis

While we recently showed you the latest offering from Asus, in the form of the Eee PC 1001PQ, at the time, we didn’t know at the time, is how unusual the lid design really is. You can pick the netbook up in Vibrant Gold, as shown in the picture, or Flame Purple. What you’ll also get with the netbook is a set of stickers to customize the lid to an extent. The strip down the middle appears to be black by default but, with the sticker set, you could mix the look up and even have a new look every now and then, more often if the stickers are purchasable separate as well. It seems that you get a choice of blue, purple, red or black for the Vibrant Gold netbook. Presumably the color options, will be different for the Vibrant Purple, so as not to have the purple with that as well. Apart from knowing the stickers come with the netbooks not much else is known about them. While to some it may seem more aimed at the kids, the fashion conscious will also surely appreciate the ability to color coordinate their netbook to their look.
