Eee PC 1002H Shows Up at the Asus Site

Asus has put up a product site for yet again another netbook in the 1000 series. This time is branded as the Eee PC 1002H. This is different from the previously announced Eee PC 1002HA folks, because the 1002HA is listed above the 1002H on the Asus site.

So, what makes the 1002H different from the 1002HA and the Eee PC 1000HE?   The 1002H has the N280 Atom processor as compared to the 1002HA’s N270 Atom processor. Other than that, the Eee PC 1002HA and 1002H are practically almost the same Eee PC netbooks.

As for the difference between the Eee PC 1000HE and 1002H?  Aside from the 9 hours battery life of the Eee PC 1000HE, it is also heavier than the Eee PC  1002H despite both of them having an HDD for storage.  In addition, the Eee PC 1002H has a multi-touch gesture input.

There’s no word yet on pricing and release details for the Eee PC 1002H since it is not yet announced by Asus in any countries at all.

But once this gets official, which would you rather choose the Eee PC 1002H or the 1000HE?  To help you decide, here’s a rundown of the specs of the Eee PC 1002H:

  • 10-inch  LED Backlight WSVGA screen (1024×600)
  • Intel Atom N280
  • 1GB RAM
  • 160GB HDD
  • 10GB Eee Online storage
  • WiFi, Bluetooth
  • Li-Polymer Battery (5 hours)
