Here goes another day, another Eee PC variant for all of us Eee PC fans. This time it’s the Eee PC 1002HAE which showed up at the Asus Eee PC Japanese site. Take note, there’s an “E” in it’s name so as not to confuse this Eee PC with the 1000HA which went out in India and other parts of the world recently.

But anyway, with or without an E, this netbook is still the 10002HA in specs and features, but cloaked in an elegant aluminum skin. It’s a good thing that Asus decided to upgrade the processor to the 1.6GHz N280 instead of the 1002HA’s N270 CPU.

Other specs of the 1002HAE include 10-inch LED-backlit display, 3.8- hour battery, WiFi, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD. It’s expected to be released in Japan sometime MAy 16 for around $506. No words yet on international release.
