ann hapney - It depends on whether a higher-resolution screen (1005HR) or higher-resolution webcam (1005HA) is more important to you. I'd wait for the 1008HR, which will have high-res screen and hi-res webcam - and be lighter and thinner...

Milen - "Full HD" is just a marketing term, nothing more. Note that, for example, some of Sony's "Full HD" camcorders are actually just 1440x1080i. And many other "Full HD" camcorders are 1920x1080i, not 1080p.

My issue is that, compared with previous 1008s and some 1005s, Asus upped the screen resolution but lowered the webcam resolution. WTF is terrible 0.3MP webcam doing on a machine like this?...

1366×768 is not full HD, its HD ready only. Full HD is 1920x1080, which would be unusable on a netbook with a 10.2" display, if any manufacturer decided to offer it.
