With the close of the year ushering in, it’s now the time of the year when practically everybody is coming out with their gadget of the year awards. And with the popularity of netbooks, more particularly the Eee PC, we’re expecting this nifty little computing machines to get more than gadget of the year awards in the coming days.
Getting ahead of the others, Stuff TV Magazine has announced that the Asus Eee PC 901 won the plum for being the much-coveted gadget of the year. The Eee PC 901 beats other in-demand gadgets such as the Xbox 360, PS3 and the iPhone 3G. If you’re wondering how come the Eee PC 901 got this award, probably has something to do with the fact that there were scarcity of supply in the US and Europe when Asus has announced the said netbook. The more it made consumers want to buy the gadget more.
Interestingly, despite the Eee PC 901 didn’t get the more prestigious award of being the Gadget of the Year. Guess which gadget got the award? Of course it went to the iPhone 3G. Other products which got a citation from Stuff magazine are Nokia, Firebox and Sony.
