I agree with you Michael. If they release "Netbooks" with screens larger than 10 inches and still call them "Netbooks", ahhhhh. They aren't netbooks. They are notebooks. Small notebooks. The Vaio P looks cool, but hell yeah its over priced. I wanted a 901 since they came out. But they used to be 599. Now they are some of the cheapest netbooks out there. I only want SSD's in netbooks. Sometimes I wish I had that extra inch so I can have a 10inch screen, but I like my 8.9inch screen. It fits in my cargo pocket unlike a 10 inch netbook.

@Josh: Thanks for sharing! Very interesting point of view. I also think there should be more 7 to 8.9-inch machine with SSDs out there. The Vaio P is overkill, because of the price, but I would love to own owe because that's a really portable computer.

Thanks to your input, I definitly have to check out SSDs more now :)

Maybe Michael. I really love my 901. I got the Linux model only for the 20GB. It took me less than a couple hours to put XP on it. I can't wait for the Netbook version of Windows 7.

What is it with Netbooks doing away with netbooks. I had a HP Mini because I didn't want to wait for Amazon to ship me an eee pc. I wanted more though. So I got a EEE PC 1000H. I did NOT like the fact that it had a OLD FASHIONED "SpInNiNg 24 hours a day" hard drive. But actually you can get much faster 2.5 SSD's than PCI-e SSD's. And I wanted something smaller. (Plus the Best Buy 1000H didn't have bluetooth) So I returned it and ordered my 901 from Amazon. (Paid 369 for it) I love it! You can actually hook an external monitor up to EEE PC's unlike HP Mini's.

I swear, next year, We will have 12 inch Netbooks with 250GB hard drives. EVERYONE has drifted away from Netbooks since HDD's instead of SSD's and 10 inch screens instead of 7 and 8.9 inch screens. There just small laptops now...

Great deal! Do you think it has something to do with Asus unofficially announcing to concentrate more on 10-inch netbooks?
