Everex Preps Up Several New Netbooks
Remember Everex, the maker of an Eee PC competitor netbook called Cloudbook? Well, Infoworld is reporting that the company is currently prepping up a 10.2-inch netbook, and 2 8.9-inch netbooks. Obviously these three new netbook models are being geared to compete with the Asus Eee PC 1000 and the two new 900 series (or was it five already? – 900, 901 and the possibly 903, 904 and 905).
Anyway the new 10.2-inch Everex Netbook will come with the following features:
- 3G wireless connectivity
- WiMax option
- HSDPA and HSUPA
- WiFi (802.11 b/g)
- Windows XP or Linux OS
- 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor
- 2GB DRAM
- 1.3-megapixel web cam
- 4 or 6 cell battery
- 2 USB ports
- express card slot
- 4-in-1 card reader
This yet to be named 10.2-inch netbook will be available sometime in September.
Meanwhile, the two 8.9-inch netbook, the CE2A1 and CW0A1 will be available in Taiwan and Japan by the end of August and in September in the United States.
The CE2A1 will have a 1.2 GHz Via C7-M microprocessor, 1GB of DRAM and an HDD with 60GB capacity. It will retail for around $461. While the CW0A1 will have a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom microprocessor and will SRP for around$471.
