First Look: Lenovo ThinkPad X100e

James Kendrick of jkOnTheRun got an evaluation unit of Lenovo’s AMD-powered ThinkPad X100e. The verdict so far is all thumbs up and I can’t blame them. I saw this one in person a while back and it looked great, from the keyboard to the compact chassis. It was a bit heavy though due to the more solid build. Some specs to put it in perspective.

Lenovo ThinkPad X100e

  • 11.6″ 1366 x 768 LCD
  • 1.6GHz AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 with ATI Radeon HD3200
  • 2GB RAM
  • 320GB HDD
  • Windows 7 Professional
  • 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G (optional)
  • 3 x USB, VGA port, LAN, card reader, combo audio jack, 0.3MP webcam
  • 6-cell battery (5 hour battery life)
  • Weight: 1.5kg

It also has the trademark of all ThinkPads, a track button in the middle of the keyboard to control the mouse. Let’s wait for their full review which should be out soon.
