From the Eee Keyboard to the Eee Phone
Posted in: accessories, asus, eeepc, tags: eee phoneThere’s really no stopping Asus in milking as much as it can with the “Eee” product line. After the Eee Keyboard which the company announced at the CES, here’s comes Digitimes reporting about Asus’ plan of releasing an Eee Phone.
According to the Chinese Economic Daily News, the Eee Phone will be a low-cost mobile device in tune with the company’s strategy in developing affordable quality products. This is Asus’ way of helping out consumers who are severaly affected by the ongoing economic crisis worldwide.
In fact, Asus was set to release the Eee Phone in 2008 but the company has to postpone if to probably by March this tear.
Details and specs of the Eee Phone are not yet available though.

ASUS has really adopted its product line to the financial crisis. They read the market well. I just hope that this phone won’t be a lame one, meaning that it would be a relatively smart phone despite being cheap. Considering the first Eee PC 701, I can see how that might not happen, espcially when entering a new market, the cheap and affordable phone market. If that phone would be good, I’ll buy it.
