Fujitsu Brings in the Innovative 4-in-1 LIFEBOOK 2013 Concept

Fujitsu, the long-time Japanese manufacturer of electronic gadgets, is tapping into the consumers’ imagination with an innovative new concept. According to Prashant Chandra, this new computer, which integrates a tablet PC, a phone, and a camera, is currently in the works. It will be part of the Fujitsu Lifebook line, and could be launched in as early as next year.

The so-called modular device has a detachable camera, which could function fully as a digital camera. The tablet is also detachable and usable on its own, or it can function as a keyboard laptop or a tablet for taking notes of drawing using the fingers. The phone component, which integrates the functions of the central processing unit as well as the storage space, also has a special container.

There is no word as to how all these parts will be put together. Some speculate that the laptop and the tablet could be attached using a 16-pin dock. Once the devices are docked together, the computer will have to sense the new gadget and switch modes.

No concept illustration or model is available as yet. Nonetheless, the new Lifebook certainly is an interesting and highly-original concept that could possibly even attach to Fujitsu a higher status as a maker of innovative computers.
