Fujitsu Stylistic M350/CA2 7-Inch Tablet to Target Business Users

Fujitsu isn’t that big when it comes to mobile computers. However, the Japanese company is looking to change that with its new tablet, the Stylistic M350/CA2. The tablet aims to business users.

The 14mm (0.55-inches) thin 7-inch Fujitsu tablet tips the scale at only 420g (a little less than 0.93 pounds). It looks pretty more like the other enterprise-oriented slates the company have released, except for the inclusion of a series of hardware buttons placed along its bottom edge. However, underneath is a lot different.

The Stylistic M350/CA2 is based on a Freescale i.MX ARM SoC that includes a single Cortex A8 core running at 1GHz. The SoC is paired together with 512MB high speed DDR3 and supports Flash 11 as well as 1080p video playback either on the tablet’s screen or on an external display that can be connected via the provided mini-HDMI connector. All of these are powered by a 20Wh battery which can deliver excellent battery life, though no estimate running time was given.

As far as software is concerned, the Stylistic M350/CA2 tablet will actually run the 2.3 version of Google’s mobile operating system.

The Stylistic M350/CA2 will be initially available in Japan for a price of ¥34,800 (about $454 or 345 EUR). No further announcement on whether Fujitsu will sell this tablet in other markets.
