Fujitsu Updates The MH380, Announce New Laptop series

Here’s some good news from Fujitsu. The Japanese company is upgrading its popular MH380 netbook with a stronger processor. The original came with an Atom N450 processor but newer models will be either receiving a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 or a 1.83GHz Intel Atom N4705 processors. These two chips are capable of supporting DDR3 memory – a significant jump that may indicate another upgrade in the future; the original MH380 only had a gig of RAM and that put a few limitations on its performance. However, with even a gig of DDR3 RAM, there will be noticeable differences.
Another update from the company is the release of the Lifebook PH series. These portable 11-inch laptops are getting some powerful hardware under the hood. The Fujitsu LifeBook PH520 will have a a 1.7GHz AMD Athlon Neo K1235 processor and a dedicated ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics card, while the LifeBook PH540 will offer a 1.2GHz Intel Celeron SU2300 ULV processor - exchanging processing power for power-efficiency. They’ll be coming pre-loaded with Windows 7.
No prices yet and no news of an overseas release for these babies. Currently, these products are only for release in Japan.
