If you’ve read Laptopmag’s first hands-on review of the MSI Wind U135, you’d be interested to find out also how its closest rival fare up in terms of overall performance.  The folks at Engadget are running their full review of the Eee PC 1005PE.

Unfortunately, knowing how sophisticated these guys taste are when it comes to gadgets, they didn’t find the Eee PC 1005PE quite impressive and different from previous Eee PC Seashell netbooks. Well, except for the battery life which was greatly improved by the Intel Atom N450 Processor.

Still at its price point of $380, and the fact that you’ll be getting a new netbook with Pine Trail CPU, the Eee PC 1005PE might actually be a good buy in case you’re planning to get a new netbook come January 2010.
