Fusion Garage Softens Grid 10′s Price

After the HP Touchpad madness, the pricing for tablets had been noticeably budget-friendly. Now we are seeing yet another tablet go down the price slashing mode, the Fusion Garage will wipe out $200 from the price of its Grid 10 tablet. Grid 10 is not not even shipped yet. This tablet is due September 15 release in the United States with pricing of $499 16GB WiFi-only model and $599 for the WiFi+3G model. Then suddenly, the pre-order pricing crashed down to $299 and $399 respectively. Amazon hasn’t received the memo yet and didn’t change their pricing as of this moment. According to one Fusion Garage spokesperson, this was the priced they want to sell the tablets initially but negotiations with an ODM went awry and it became not possible to release the tablet in low prices. The Grid 10 will also be delayed slightly to October 1 due to approval process with its Adobe Flash compatibility. UK also experienced the price cut, the Wi-Fi only is now at £259 and the WFi+3G is at £359.
