Gateway has officially joined the 11-inch netbook wars with their own LT3103u netbook touting 11.6 inch display.   And while everybody else is still equipping their bigger netbooks with the same Intel Atom Processor, Gateway decided to pack the LT3103u with an AMD Athlon 64 L110 Single-Core Processor (1.2GHz). If you’re a AMD desktop user, you probably know how this CPU fares up with Intel Atom.

Aside from this, Gateway also throw in an integrated ATI Radeon X1270 graphics, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD, WiFi, webcam, 3 USB ports, and 6-cell battery pack.

Now here’s the clincher, the LT3103u is loaded with Windows Vista instead of the usual XP OS, hence the 2GB RAM.

The Gigabyte LT3103U will be available in Black And Cherry Red design. It will set you back for $400.

this athlon is a great news, it is best than the old netbook gateway lt 1000 series that use aton n280.

The x1270 is a good news too, much more fast than the GMA950 used in much netbooks in the market.

LCD, no coments, it is a notebook piece in a notebook.

    I will buy one.
