Geolife Navmii GPS Navigation Software for your Netbook

Geolife, developer of Navmii GPS navigation software is releasing a Windows XP and Vista version of their software. Having this on Windows XP platform can only mean one thing – you can use it on your netbooks making them something like GPS devices.

According to LaptopGPS World’s interview with Geolife CEO Matt Thornhill, Navmii utilizes US Map Data supplied by TeleAtlas. The software was recently launched in the UK and plans for release in other countries are already in the pipeline with US in the next 2-4 weeks, Asia/South America later during the year. Geolife will also be marketing the said software in emerging markets such as Nigeria.
