Best Buy just got more ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime in stock and it is offered for $499.99. The company says that the units are usually ship within a day. The Eee Pad Transformer Prime is the first tablet with an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor. This 10 inch tablet just went on sale, but it’s a sold out in most stores.

The Transformer Prime sports 1GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a 10.1 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display. It has a 1.2MP front-facing camera and a high quality 8MP rear-facing camera.

ASUS first shipped the Transformer Prime with Android 3.2 Honeycomb. But now, the company plans to offer a free Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich software update early next year.

As the name implies, Transformer Prime can transform the tablet into a sort of Android-powered laptop computer by attaching an optional $150 keyboard docking station. The dock includes a QWERTY keyboard, a touchpad and a separate battery, which you can use to charge the tablet and extend battery life.
