Google Chrome Finally Available for Android ICS Tablets
Google fans will rejoice with the new offering for Android users. The popular web browser Chrome is now available for users of Android tablets or smartphones as Chrome for Android Beta.
At the moment, this beta version is exclusive for users of the latest update, Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), and only in selected countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Australia, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil.
This browser offers several features. For starters, users may sync the bookmarks they have on the Chrome browser installed on their PC with the one on their Android device. There are also smart suggestions available, or keyword offerings that take into consideration the user’s browsing history, that appear once the user types on the address bar.
Many of the features available for the PC version are also present on this app. Tabbed browsing, for example, is also possible, and users may switch between an unlimited number of these tabs like in the PC version. Navigation and search may also be accessed from the omnibox.
The incognito mode, which allows for private browsing without leaving cookies or pages viewed in the browser history, is also available. Flash, however, is absent.
Chrome for Android Beta likewise retains the clean, simple interface of the PC version, and as expected, fast browsing.
