Google Chrome Laptops For $20 A Month?

Here’s another tidbit from Google I/O 2011. Forbes has received an interesting tip for an upcoming announcement. If you want to get your hands on a Chrome OS laptop – your best chance will probably be as a student.

According to an unnamed source, tomorrow’s keynote will see the announcement of  a Chrome laptop that will be sold as a student machine for an affordable $20 a month. This can mean a reasonable computing alternative for many a starving college student. This is similar to Google’s already extant offer of a Google App Suite for $50-a-year. Great news for Google fans and people seeking alternatives to more expensive computing solutions.
