Google Chrome OS will work on tablets
Posted in: chrome os, google, tablet, tags: chrome os, googleIt’s pretty clear that a rift is beginning to appear between Google and Apple. Google’s Chrome browser competes with Safari, and the Chrome OS with Mac OS X which was fine since Apple’s own software were more tied with hardware anyway. When Google showed up boasting about the Nexus One running Android, that move certainly raised some eyebrows in Cupertino. The Google Phone, as it’s called, goes head-to-head with the iPhone and meant that Google was already thinking about dipping in the hardware market of Apple.
After Google announced that it was making a netbook, little did we think they would be doing the same for tablets. Now, Google Chrome designer Glen Murphy reveals more plans to wade into the tablet pool with a concept video of a Chrome OS tablet. Does this mean they might be making a GooglePad to match the new iPad? As you can see from above, the concept design is very similar. For the video, check it out below.
