HP delays its Android tablet to prioritize work on webOS-based alternative

Like most PC makers nowadays, HP is hard at work on their upcoming tablet PCs. But unlike others, HP is preparing to launch a tablet for all three viable tablet PC platforms: Windows 7, Android, and now its very own Palm-made webOS. A lot of people are waiting on the release of Android-based tablets to get instead of the Apple iPad (which runs on iOS), but instead of trying to beat everyone else to the punch in releasing their Android tablet ahead of competitors, HP has decided to set the project aside in order to put its strength behind webOS instead. Thus, we won’t be seeing HP’s Android-based tablet until after this year, while their webOS-based offering should come some time this fall.
